Like one other review I too had acne issues with this product. I have very sensitive skin so this wasnt shocking to me. I am in my 40's so I need a retinol prodct. I am going to try the Retinol CS, it has a few deifferent ingredients so it may work. I wish I could find a sample before purchasing. I love the Glo skincare products and for those without sensitive skin I imagine this is a very good product.

This made me break out to the extent that I was extremely self-conscious about leaving my apartment. I thought it would be great - retinol, salicyclic acid, and glycolic acid? Seems like a miracle trifecta. It just didn't work for my combination/acne-prone skin. The first week I used it I was beyond pleased - it works really well on the surface level! But after that initial period, I turned into a "before" picture for a Proactiv commercial. To put it in perspective, I stopped using it just before hitting the most hormonal part of my cycle, and my skin actually got BETTER during that hormonal period. I'm throwing this out and going back to my old night cream.
Note from glo: We are sorry to hear of any less than stellar experience with a product. Renew Serum is our best selling serum and frequently the feedback received is that it greatly benefits problematic or acne-prone skin. So, we are surprised to hear about this. It may be that you have a sensitivity to one of the ingredients that you were not aware of. Or, it could be causing your skin to purge. If you discontinued using moisturizer, perhaps your skin became dehydrated and responded by breaking out (as Renew Serum does not replace moisturizer). Or, it could be something unrelated. Because it is difficult to determine why you had this experience without having more in depth information, our Director of Education would be happy to speak with you and give you any guidance to further review and understand your experience. Please reach out to us at 1 (800) 232-0398 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org, we look forward to hearing from you to resolve this issue.

I have pretty problematic skin for my age, blackheads, large pores, hormonal acne, and very uneven tone. I have tried just about every type of serum/corrector/you-name-it out there, and this is the first product that I have been 100% pleased with and that I can honestly say has made a HUGE difference in my skin! It smooths and evens out my skin and minimizes my blackheads and pores dramatically. After just a week of use I was confident to go around without any makeup, which is something I haven't been able to do in years! Even people who I do not see very regularly commented on how good my skin looked. Definitely worth the price. Love this product and would recommend it to anyone with almost any skin type.
