You can control the intensity of the color depending on the brush and amount you buff on your lds. I don't normally use shimmery shadows as I am in my 50's. I was able to apply on my lids towards the tear duct. Looked great! I would have never picked these colors separately. Glad I took a chance. I have no problem ordering separately now. They are long lasting and do not irritate my sensitive eyes. .......A GREAT PRODUCT!
