Expert Tips - Brush Care

You have new purchased your glominerals brushes.  It is very important to clean and store your glominerals brushes properly to ensure longevity.  Protect your investment! Basic care tips and deep cleaning tips below will help you get the most out of your brushes.



  • All brushes should be cleaned after each application with glominerals brush cleaner. The brush cleaner is an alcohol based cleaner designed to disinfect. This is very important to avoid bacteria growth.  Yuck!!
  • To avoid color contamination, glominerals recommends washing your brushes at the end of every week.
  • To clean brushes, spread bristles with your thumb and with the other hand spray glominerals brush cleaner repeatedly. Making sure it gets inside the brush for optimum disinfecting.  Wipe with tissue.  Repeat if necessary.

Deeper Cleaning

  • At the end of the week, or depending on how much you are using your glominerals natural hair brushes, put a small amount of a non fragrance, gentle or conditioning formula shampoo in a small bowl.  Add warm water.  Place brush into small bowl, making sure not to fully submerge your brush hair, and swirl around until all make up is removed.  Squeeze out any excess water from brush.  Do not pull too hard as to damage the brush bristles.  Lay on towel, at incline to dry.*
  • Replace warm water and shampoo when the water becomes cloudy.
  • Allow 24 hours before inserting brushes back into your glominerals brush roll.

*Please remember, water trapped in the barrel can rot the glue.  This will lead to an unpleasant odor and brush hair loss.
