Q: Can I wash my brush? If so, how often and how should I clean them?

A: All brushes are washable* and we recommend daily cleaning with the glominerals brush cleaner. A more thorough cleaning is recommended at least every 2 weeks. For the natural hair brushes we recommend you use a gentle baby shampoo or a conditioning shampoo. An antibacterial soap is sufficient for the synthetic brushes – these should be washed at least every two weeks as well. Cleaning your brushes is important because oils from the face get in between the bristles and can generate bacteria growth and germs. Cleaning your brushes will reduce your chances of break-outs and increase your chances of clearer skin!

*Please note, glominerals recommends that you wash the brushes with the bristles facing down. Do not allow water to enter the barrel of the handle. Water trapped in the barrel can rot the adhesive, leading to an unpleasant odor and brush hair loss.
